The Concept:
To boldy display our world in 360 degrees as a living, breathing, caring, nurturing place.
To do so as individuals acting together on a global scale.
To document the passage of time from one glorious moment to a next moment
To create in essence, a voyage through the fabric of our lives ...a wrinkle in time

What is all this?:
Essentially we have been through all these issues before and I hope, learned from past mistakes. In my quest to make wrinkle 2000 as easy an event to produce as is possible, I have taken it upon myself to just go ahead and make all the nitsy little decisions, lay it out for all to see and hopefully make wrinkle 2000 a snap to participate in. I think I got everything covered. Hope you'll participate!

The Goal:
100 or more Panographers, 100 or more Panos - All seven continents.

The Window in Time:
Shoot anywhere from Midnight December 31st 1999 to Midnight January 1st, 2000 - Panographer's local time

The Theme:
Sharing something that is deeply important to the panographer as time allows us to cross in to a new century.

The Media:
Pure QuickTime and QuickTime only. QTVR, QT 4.0 streaming, with separate accompanying Quicktime sound file - no java - total package absolute maximum of 500k for the web and up to 3 megs for an accompanying cd rom.
This means you do have an option for providing nicer files for a cd rom if you care to.

QTVR 4.0.3 Example pages are up - Black page, Embedded Loop Sound * White page, Sound with Controller

New 10/7/99 - A QTVR with licensed musical piece, embedded as a loop, sound file encoded via QDesign 2.0

We have an email list:
You can join

The File Name Covenant:
All file names shall be 8dot3

The Catch(s):

5) Panographer will provide at least the following information for online presentation:
6) Name
7) Company name
8) Country of Origin
9) Web address (if applicable)
10) email address
11) a brief description about their subject matter and the location of the shoot or in the case of those who would like to mix media to create their pano, a brief description of what the heck they were trying to accomplish and why.

By participating, the Panographer, by default, agrees to the following:

12) Panographer agrees to certify that all visual images and recorded sounds were created by themselves between Midnight December 31st 1999 to Midnight January 1st, 2000 and that they are entitled to call these creations their own.
13) Panographer agrees to assume full responsibility for using anyone else's copyrighted materials as part or all of their submission and absolves wrinkleintime.org of any and all responsibility or wrongdoing in such a situation.
14) Panographer agrees to waive any monetary compensation for the use of these images and sounds both in the online exposition and on an accompanying event cd rom (if it is deemed desireable to produce one).
15) Panographer gives permission for the one-time publishing rights to wrinkleintime.org to produce both a web and distribute a cd rom with the Panographer's image and sound files as it sees fit.
16) Panographer agrees not to participate in any free cd tree distribution of this event.

17) Panographer retains all ownership rights and subsequent publishing rights to their submissions after, during and outside of this event:
